It is important that one is aware of the symptoms of depression as early detection can lead to a faster healing process. If you are suffering from 4 of any of these symptoms for more than 2 weeks, you may wish to consider visiting your nearest mental health practitioner.

S- leep disturbances (insomnia/hypersomnia)

I – nterest reduced

G- uilt or feelings of worthlessness

E- nergy reduction/fatigue

C-oncentration difficulties

A-ppetite disturbances (urge to eat is gone)

P-sychomotor agitation or retardation

S-uicidal behavior/thoughts of suicide/death
